A short introduction to two stories of navy heroism in World War Two. At the start of the war, HMS Glowworm took on the much larger German Battleship Admiral Hipper. HMS Jervis Bay, a converted liner, was the convoy escort for convoy HX84, which was ambushed by the Pocket Battleship Admiral Scheer. Both actions were awarded the Victoria Cross for extreme valour.
